Our Savior’s Lutheran Church

Psalm 98:1a – "Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things…”

The choir anthem is a component of the traditional service at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Spearfish, SD.

Anthems are chosen to follow the liturgical order for Advent, Christmas & Epiphany - “Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel”,  “Oh, Holy Night, “What Shall I Give To The Child?”,  “Joy To The World– Lent, Palm Sunday & Easter – “Come to The Shadows”, “Hosanna, Blessed Is He”,  “In An Upper Room”, “Hallelujah, Christ Is Risen”Pentecost, a time of growing in the faith – “I Rest My Soul In His Love”,  “Grant Us Thy Holy Peace”,  “Great And Awesome God.”

In September 1954, the Senior Choir was established at the time of the organization of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.  Currently, there are 25-30 active members.
